Artist Statement
My pastel drawings are a very personal aspect of my work. I see them as poetry for the eyes, and believe there to be no better medium to communicate this. Plein Air is my focus, but I do touch up some pieces after the fact. They are my meditation and with them I aim to communicate a sense of peace and tranquility. They depict where I have been, what I have seen, and what I was personally moved by.
