I'm exploring myself and nature through representational and abstract art. The fuel for the abstracts are all the emotions in me at that moment: it's pain; it's sorrow; it's passion; it's excitement; it's hope; it's despair; it's love. It's so many things all colliding all at once. Whatever raises it's hand the highest gets called on. The scenes are my response to the results of the abstracts and inspired by all the beautiful places and things that I've seen on my travels. Some are very specific, while others are only suggestive.

Electric splattered skies above calm and peaceful scenes; the fusion of tranquility and explosive energy on one canvas.
This particular piece was inspired by the feeling of celebration, so I wanted a whirlwind of energy
I started with the first thing that came to mind, and that was palm trees. I knew I wanted them to glow, dramatic, like a great discovery. I also added some wavy strokes for water to separate the sky from the scene.
Building on the palm trees that were previously laid down, I surrounded them by mountains.
I knew I needed to balance out the composition, and I needed an explorer to navigate the depths of my subconscious and bring an X-factor into this new work... and then he appeared.
